one heat cycle should be fine ,2 at the most if you run for an extended amount of time

should not smoke at all,if this is a street motor it might use a little during breakend ,did you use new valve seals

sounds like you have a problem lol,take it back apart and start again,we've all been there,these little motors are tricky sometimes

Did you check the end gap on your rings before assembling? Also did you put the right valve seals on the right side? They're marked for intake and exhaust.

the machine shop worked on the head and block.i did some homework and found out the rings are the wrong ones.they are for a yoda.first time messing with rings.does anybody know the part # for the rings.it is .040 over. thanks johnny

i would say they do but these are over the counter parts you can get them at a parts store,or perfect circle,or seal-power, which ever brand they happen to carry all of these are over the counter
