I have two intakes in my garage, the one that came off my Chevette, the other came off of a Chevette in the junkyard (which came with a free manual choke Holley 5210 lol). They have different part numbers and a different letter stamped to them. They also differ in a few small ways. The one that came off my Chevette has a big letter "W" stamped on it, while the other has a big "D" on it. The part numbers are completely different.
From what I can tell, the mount where the carb sits on is taller on the "D" and shorter on the "W." But the "D" has slightly wider edges around the intake ports. The intake ports though look to be about the same size from what I can tell. Does anyone know the differences between the two, or which one would be better to get fixed up? I am hoping to get one ported and cleaned up for the build (a few more HP and better mileage does not hurt eh?). I am guessing the cost would not be too painful. Too bad I do not have the money to have an intake built, I would love to run two 32/36's, way too expensive though.
