Was wanting some input on engine builder be ing legally liable for a bad engine ? like blowing up , before even getting to the track? TWICE!
Has anyone been to court over this and what the out come might be ? Thanks

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Personally, i dont think it would hold up in court, unless you / they signed a written agreement on some kind of warranty. As an engine builder myself, i will not gaurantee a race engine. You're taking stock components and modifying them to a point they were not meant to be used as. Also, if the engine builder didnt do the initial break in, they could point the finger at you for improper break in proceedure. I wouldnt waste my time or money trying to take them to court. Instead, get references and results on other engine builders in your area experienced with building Chevette racing engines.

I once knew a guy who raced and absolutley scorched his engine. He went back on the builder to get a refund the guy said no.Then the driver spread so much bull about the guy's engines he went out of business.
