Instead of replacing the whole housing, why dont you take it to a muffler shop and see if they can fabricate spring "bucket" bottoms? Cut a circle out of 3/16" steel and weld them on.
Just an idea?

hey theres an idea!! please chime in anyone if you others got ideas im open to anything not to costly that is but i like this idea man!! hope they will try.

steven is right,cut the bottom off the bucket and weld a new plate on it will work fine,use the old rubber if you still have it and your good to go,one thing,cut about a 1'' hole in the center of the plate so the bucket wont't fill up with road dirt,stock springs for these cars are plentyful here if that helps
