I'm planning on running an aftermarket clutch to handle shifting duties for the upcoming endurance race. They tend to run them on road courses, so there's a decent amount of shifting.
Would I need to reinforce the stock clutch fork to handle the increased pressure from the new pressure plate? I saw boxing in of the fork mentioned on the Diesel Chevette site.
Thanks.

We only shift once during starts and restarts, so the clutch fork is not an issue for most of us. I've only seen one failure the whole time ive been racing Chevettes, and it was the stud that the fork rides on, broke off. In your case though, it wouldnt hurt to strengthen the clutch fork / stud or possibly go with a hydraulic setup to eliminate any problems with the cable as well. It would take some time and research, but im sure you could find a hydraulic setup that would work.
