I just got a 1980 chevette 4 door and I love it. I am about ready to get a carb for it, but I want to remove the smog pump and emissions. I judt don't know where to start and what to take off and what not to take off. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What lines need to stay for the stock carb? EGR valve, PCV valve? I want all unecessary vaccuum lines gone.

My distributor has a vacuum advance and I'm not sure if that is connected to the carb cuz the line goes under the motor and I haven't been able to follow it to where it meets... I've taken all vacuum lines off except pcv. Its running good but hard to start and stumbles when i give it full throttle. I'm wondering if it has to do with the vacuum advance from the distributor if it connects to the carb?
