Ok Gang, I know everyone on here does not have their own website to host their pictures from so this should hopefuly walk you through how to insert an Image from your computer onto the message boards. If you have any questions please shoot me an email and I will help you out.
First
The Image that you want to post onto the boards first needs to be "hosted". Hosting an image means that you are uploading an image onto an online server. Its important to remember that ANY image you want to post on the boards needs to be hosted.
Second
How do I host an Image from my computer? The first step in getting your image hosted is to use a free online hosting page. A couple free options are www.pictiger.com and www.imageshack.us
We will use Pictiger for this example.
In your address bar type www.pictiger.com
The following page should appear.

--Click the Browse button on the page.
--A window will appear asking you for the location of the picture you want to have hosted.
--After you have selected the image, the location or path of the image will be populated in the box next to the browse button.
--Now click on the blackened link that says "show advanced options"
--This will drop down a few new options to the page. The one you want to select is "Auto Crop". Then select 640x480. This is a great size for the boards.
--Now click on the "Host it Button"
--Now the window will refresh with a bunch of options. The one we want is "Place on forum #1" click the green copy button next to the link. This should highlight the link. Now right click and click Copy.
--Now pull up the Chevette Message boards and create a new thread or reply to an existing one. In the Message field right click and click paste. It should paste the URL of your picture into the message field and look something like this.

Now click Post message and the image should appear.
