I have been checking into trying out the asphalt tracks around and have noticed the weight is 2000 to 2100 lbs. What is the reason for the higher weight rules? Also, Corbin Speedway says you can run approved goodyear tires. Where can you get these tires? Why do the asphalt tracks all say no 4.11 gears? Thanks for any help!! Anthony Jeffries 08j ;D

Corbin Speedway- Goodyear tires available at the track..limited supply............later in year chevettes will be running on DOT radials........this is due to the class being renamed MOD-MINI to include FWD that are drivers older than 14....the vette weight was added 200lbs from last year and fwd's dropped 400 to current 2000lb wieght ti even up the cars...........can run 13 inch racing tires on either car, but have to add 100lbs.............later in year all will be on DOT radials after supply of racing tires are gone..............also weight tule may be adjusted for competition between the vettes and fwd....................Dont know about the other tracks, but that is why at Corbin this year.
