never cut, it will work but create alot of wear on things expecially on a street car.

Cutting is about your only option for lowering a Chevette. You might find a racing spring that will lower it, but it requires modifications to the front cross member. If you do lower it by cutting, be sure to realign the front end.

i have seen and herd of springs breaking after cutting because there is coils missing and cant handle the load and shock of hitting bumps.

I've never had a cut spring break, and i would think we put them under more stress on the track than you would on the street. Expect a rough ride, every coil you cut off the spring will make it stiffer.
I have seen stock springs rust in two and break...

Cutting coils does make the rate stiffer, because it makes what is essentially a coiled-up torsion bar shorter. However, removing coils on stock springs to lower a car seldom works because the rate increase isn't significant enough. Better to get proper springs.

If you can invest a little bit I suggest you to take a look at air springs. They are not so high priced and there's no need for a complete kit, compressor, tank... You could only use air valves and adjust each corner individually this way. Just so you don't regret, take time to measure more than once before ordering. The chevette front end is a little thight and not every air spring will fit.

get S10 springs and cut them for the front, move your front springs to the rear and cut them. It's gonna be a rough ride though.
