I'm glad to see all of the response to this opportunity to race at a track that wants to run the Chevettes every week. I am guessing that the rules will be ready and posted by this coming Sunday or Monday. I am sure that Crossville will welcome everyone that wants to race there. I am also sure that these rules are not going to be pure stock rules like Riverview. They are going to be designed to allow all of the Chevettes to race together so that there can be a descent car count. I know these rules won't please everyone but they are trying to make a class that everyone can race in. Hopefully everyone can come and race for what it is intended to be " A Hobby" something to do and enjoy.
Thanks Stephen for making a slot on here for the Crossville track. Hopefully it won't be a waste of time.
Like I said I will post the rules on here just as soon as I hear something. Hope everyone is excited about this and plans on heading up to the mountain and racing. Keep an open mind about it and have some fun. ;D

Let's be reasonable about this guys. There's no way that everyone can run together and it be equal, even if there was a way, no one is going to make changes to their car now that the season has started. This rule change discussion should be made during the off season.
Honestly, the only way i see this being anywhere close to equal, is adding weight to the modified cars, and keep adding weight until it evens out the competition. Then you still have problems... 1. weight can get expensive over $1 per pound for lead. 2. You may have to add 300 or 400 lbs (or more) to the modified cars to make them equal to the others. They're not going to spend the money to do that and its going to cause all kinds of suspension problems, Chevettes are not meant to weigh 2500 lbs.
Im not trying to cause problems, but its simple... Either they run by the rules we presented to them and get the 8 - 10 cars that are running on asphalt, or change the rules and not get any of them.
Do whats best for Crossville and the majority of the Chevette racers willing to run there, whether its the asphalt guys or the modified dirt guys. No hard feelings, we're all in the same boat. We all want a good place to race and the chance to be competitive.
Good luck to everyone, Stephen Fields

That would mean all the stock guys building new light weight cars... again not going to happen. JQ92 go to the MRM Racing Forum, your questions would be answered there faster. mrmracing.net/messageboard/index.php

I will be bringing my car down there tomorrow to run it. Im from clinton county and know its a bit of a haul. I dont expect to win but then again I just want to be able to run somewhere everyweekend w/o the worry of the promoter/owner getting pissy and cutting us with no notice. I will be in Crossville everyweekend they are open and the car is running.

Well as you all know by now I am the new Techman for Crossville Raceway. The new rules will be finalized this weekend. I will post an exact copy here for all to see who are interested in racing with us. Like I said before not everyone is gonna like them but we can't please everyone. If you want to come and compete at Crossville you will be running under an enforced set of rules. I will personally see to that. I will also find out and post our 1st race date under these new rules. I hope everyone will show up to race. For those of you who choose not to good luck in your future racing endeavors.
Thanks, Ron Dodson
