Just a couple small things that I've learned from other racing. I've noticed a couple racers are having overheating problems. Here is something you may want to try. Put a restrictor in the water neck. It looks like a thin washer with a hole in the center. Usually made out of aluminum. You can get a set of them from your local race parts provider. This restricts the return of water and keeps it in the radiator longer so it has a chance to cool a liittle more before it returns to the engine. This is how we (sportsman and supertruck) keep our water cool as we are not allowed to use ANY coolant in our radiators. Water only! Also, make sure you driveshafts are squared to your rearend. This can be accomplished tying a piece of thread onto the driveshaft and letting a nut hang straight down. Do this in the front and the back. Next measure the distance from the front nut to to the frame rail on the left side. (You must make sure that the car has been squared also.) The measurements should be the same. This will "tell" you if the driveshaft is straight. This little tip is worth 3-5 hp. Attachments:
