Saturday night July 3rd, the "mean, clean, asphalt driving machines" of Highland Rim Speedway will be getting DIRTY on the high banks of Crossville Raceway! Join us for a night of THRILLS, SPILLS, AND SIDEWAYS AUTOMOBILES as many of these drivers have never been on dirt! Get those cars out of the barns and show these rookies how to "turn right to go left!" With 10 - 12 cars already coming... lets see if we can make the Chevettes the BIGGEST division Crossville has the 1st NIGHT OUT!
Crossville Raceway Payout (12 or more cars)

2nd - $100
3rd - $50
4th - $40
5th - $30
6th thru 20th - Pit Pass
Here are the basic rules, the Crossville Raceway Techman (Ron "Red Beard" Dodson) will post the official rules soon.
2010
RULES
STOCK CHEVETTES
GENERAL
1.Stock means stock
2.No spotter radios permitted.
3.Fire suit and SA 95 or newer helmet required.
BODIES
1.Stock wheelbase as manufactured.
2.All flammable materials inside car must be removed.
3.All glass must be removed, i.e. door glass, headlights, etc.
4.Mesh wire screen mandatory.
5.Bodies must remain stock appearing and neat at all times.
Numbers: minimum 20" on doors and 24" on roof. Must be able to read from drivers side.
NO SPRAY PAINTED NUMBERS.
6.Plastic or rubber nose pieces allowed.
7.Rear spoiler okay. 6" maximum height.
INTERIOR
1.Aluminum racing seat MANDATORY.
2.Must have minimum 3" wide shoulder harness.
3.Must have minimum 2 pound fire extinguisher with a gauge and quick release mounted
securely in car within reach of driver while belted in.
4.Left side window net required. Must have quick release that releases from top..
5.All other side windows and door openings must remain open.
6.Battery must be enclosed in a safe manner and approved by Competition Director.
7.Interior enclosures are allowed, but must have inspection ports.
8.Interior must be complete and shield driver from fuel cell, ground, and engine compartment.
ROLL CAGE AND CHASSIS
1.All roll cages must be approved by Competition Director.
2.Stock frame, as manufactured.
3.Fuel cell must be enclosed and mounted in a safe manner. Must be approved by Competition Director.
SUSPENSION
1.All must be in stock location.
2.NON-Adjustable Sway Bar/Panhard Bar MUST BE IN STOCK LOCATION.
3.A-arms may be modified. NO tubular A-arms.
4.Stock steering, as manufactured.
5.NON ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION.
6.NON ADJUSTABLE Racing Springs and Shocks ALLOWED. ( $50.00 Claimer Each )
TRANSMISSION
1.Chevette factory transmission ONLY.
2.NO Aluminum Flywheel.
3.Flywheel Must NOT be milled thinner than Ring Gear.
ENGINE
1.All engine parts must be original equipment before modifications.
2.Cam shaft is optional.
3.No strokers.
4.Stock crank and rods.
5.Iron motor only.
6.Wet sump oil system only.
7.MAX BORE .060
8.MAY use FACTORY Flat Top or Dish Pistons. (MAX .060)
CARBURETOR
1.Any carburetor that will bolt to a stock Chevette intake.
AIR INTAKE
1.Air cleaner can protrude through hood no more than 2 inches.
FUEL SYSTEMS
1.No electric fuel pumps.
COOLING SYSTEM
1.Aluminum racing radiators are allowed.
DIFFERENTIAL
1.Chevette factory differentials ONLY.
2.3.36 3.70 or 4.11 gear ratio ONLY.
3.4.11 ratios allowed.
4.Rear Differential MAY be Welded or have a Spool. (NO RATCHETS)
BRAKES
1.Brakes on all four wheels must be functional.
EXHAUST
1.Headers are allowed.
2.Exhaust must exit behind driver.
3.100 dba will be enforced.
TIRES AND WHEELS
1.Any DOT tire 50, 60, or 70 series allowed.
2.NO V, VR, Z or ZR rated tires.
3.Steel wheels ONLY. Any offset allowed.
4.13 inch X 7" or 8" wheels only.
WEIGHT
1.Minimum weight is 1950 pounds.
