All right guys here are the new revised rules for the Chevette Class at Crossville.
CHEVETTE RULES
BODIES
1.Stock wheelbase as manufactured.
2.All flammable materials inside car must be removed. All glass must be removed, i.e. door glass, headlights, etc.
3.3 vertical bars welded in front of driver with mesh wire screen mandatory.
4.Bodies must remain stock appearing .Can replace with aluminum.
6.Plastic or rubber nose pieces allowed.
7.Rear spoiler okay. 6" maximum height measured vertically off of rear deck no wider than rear deck.
INTERIOR
1.Aluminum racing seat MANDATORY.
2.Must have minimum 3" wide shoulder harness.
3.Must have minimum 2 pound fire extinguisher
4.Left side window net required. Must have quick release that releases from top.
5.All other side windows and door openings must remain open.
6.Battery must be enclosed
7.Interior enclosures are allowed, but must have inspection ports.
8.Interior must shield driver from fuel cell, ground, and engine compartment.
ROLL CAGE AND CHASSIS
1.Stock frame, as manufactured.
2.Fuel cell must be enclosed and mounted in a safe manner. 12 gal max.
SUSPENSION
1.All must be in stock location and non adjustable.
2.A-arms may be modified. NO tubular A-arms.
3.Stock steering, as manufactured.
6. Racing Springs and Shocks ALLOWED. ( $50.00 Claimer Each )
TRANSMISSION
1.Chevette factory transmission ONLY.
2. NO Aluminum Flywheel.
3. Flywheel Must NOT be milled thinner than Ring Gear.
ENGINE
1.All engine parts must be original equipment before modifications.
2.Any grind Cam shaft.
3.Stock stroke crank, stock rods.
4.Wet sump oil system only.
5. MAY use FACTORY Flat Top or Dish Pistons with a max bore of .060
FUEL SYSTEMS
1.Any carburetor that will bolt to a stock Chevette intake. NO SPACER PLATES
2.No electric fuel pumps.
COOLING SYSTEM
1.Aluminum racing radiators are allowed.
REAR END
1.Any Chevette factory rear end ONLY.
2. Rear Differential MAY be Welded or have a Spool.
BRAKES
1.Brakes on all four wheels must be functional
EXHAUST
1.Headers are allowed.
TIRES AND WHEELS
1.Any DOT tire 50, 60, or 70 series allowed.
3.Steel wheels ONLY. Any offset allowed.
4.13" or 14" X 7" or 8" wheels only. Can run beadlock.
WEIGHT
1.Minimum weight is 1950 pounds.
PROTEST: Top 5 placed cars may protest the car in front of them only.
5th may protest 4th only.
4th may protest 3rd only.
3rd may protest 2nd only.
2nd may protest 1st only.
1: Visual $25.00
TRACK RETAINS 100% & 50% of Motor-$250.00
MUST HAVE TOW HOOKS FRONT & REAR
CAR MAY BE IMPOUNDED FOR 2 DAYS for TECH
