Some 2 barrel intakes do have slight differences in the carb. base area, but theres very little performance gains. I always tried to select the best intake out of several by looking at the intake runners and if they had shifted during the casting process. 1 barrel intakes are good for short tracks where quick acceleration is needed. They can't flow enough for larger tracks where the rpm range is high for a longer period of time. I always liked the 2 barrel intakes myself. We would machine the back off them and port and polish the runners from the back side along with the plenum area.
Just my 2 cents.

any one know about that 1 with a w on it. i have 3 intakes here and they appear same execpt the square head bolts and it seems to be a little wider in the portsb/c i can fit 2 fingers in the w intake pretty easy about a 1/3 of my fingers, the other 2 seem to be tighter and i cant fit as much in, but i started to port one of the regular intakes (3 of 4 ports) but it seems larger idk mybe its me. hope someone has feed back.
