The engine stand kinda hides it, look where it looks like the engine stands mounts to the block That engine being used is way over priced. I did hear they were getting those dyno numbers with their special modified carb

Ok, now I see! I didn't seen this picture when I looked at the add. It seems to run with a poor mixture by the color of the exhaust ports, I guess.

Does anyone tried to siamese the first half of the runners while porting the intake? It could probably unlock the high rpm potential. I know some guys do it with their TPI intake to gain flow at higher speed... I'm just tryin to figure what he have done to make it push that hard with an intake that doesn't seems to be modified as much as some guys do here. Maybe are we missing something.. ..Or maybe he has alot more money to invest in his engine!

It looks like it was running a little lean, but you know what they say lean is mean! I can't afford to chance running one that lean myself.

They have a ( I heard a $800 c & S carb ) that gets the extra horsepower and torgue. They sent to www.candsspecialties.com/abcmods.html

these motors do make that kind of hp , i think this type runs over 6000.00 new . the one i had was not a sleeved engine and it had over 200 hp . i can only imagine what this one will do. by the way thingy huntley is super nice and stands behind his work. expensive but everyone who has won has spent more than they should to get that feeling of winning.as far as the ugly looks , i'd say you could call this one a sleeper

"they say its half of 327 but anyways what i am getting at see the cams are in the bottom like a V8, they i have heard that on some of those engines a 350 head will work on them! also about boat engines, ford made a boat engine, it was half of 460, it was a 4 cylinder with 460 pictons in it! Well there is some of my stuff i know, even if it dont fit in!"
The 181 3.0 Merc IO will not accept a small block Chev head. The bolt pattern (and quanity of bolts) are different.
The 4 cylinder motor that used the Ford 460 head was designed by Merc. The only part that was common with the 460 Ford engine was the head and the pistons.

To continue on the pontiac heads swap subject, I'll start a new thread named pontiac heads Swap... that's it. You can go take a look at it and send any comment that helps figure out what can be done.
Thanks for your interest.
