Looking for race motor for ice racing. 1985 car, and need more HP. Needs to be reliable.

Are you located in Canada? What kind of engine rules do you have to go by?

we have a .060 stroker motor and a .030 stock stroke motor in ky.

Yeah I'm in Canada. The rules say that you have to stay with the stock motor but any engine modification is allowed. You can also update or backdate the engine, within the model. The engine must use stock mounting points. You can check out our club. Just google thunder bay ice racing and check out the thunder bay autosports club web page.

How much HP would you need, on ice wouldn"t ya just spin the tires?

I would think you would just spin the tires more, but how much hp does your competition have and what have they done to their engines?
