Just wondering how much would be a fair price. My engine's equipped with pretty much every part the average Chevette owner would want.
1976 Head (rebuilt) H.O. dual exhaust manifold Weber 32/36 carb (rebuilt) Ported and polished intake T-5 Borg Warner 5-Speed transmission (rebuilt) New clutch Flywheel was redone not too long ago New gaskets Block is low mileage at 97000 kms
I thought around $750 would be fair for the complete package, considering the rare parts and what shape they are all in. I am guessing that I would probably have to sell them all separately to get close to that though.
Reason being for possibly selling the thing, I want a more modern engine for the car. Looking into a 2.3 Duratec from a Ford Ranger, they're nice and light (all aluminum, around 200 lbs), and would be more than enough to shoot a Chevette off the line. They also have really low emissions, and the fuel mileage in a 4500 lbs truck is around 23-26, so in a Chevette, it should be around the mid 30's.
