Hey guys I bought my vette last summer for 200 bucks from a guy up here in alaska, has some carb problems, may need a new head gasket, Lookin to make it a daily driver through out the summer and maybe some winter fun out at the ice track, I would like to swap out the motor possibly, I hear S10s work nice, im just not sure what all is a fun reliable option. Ive seen the V8 swaps, but i dont think i wanna go that big lol. But any suggestions on whatd be fairly simple and fun would be great.

From what I have seen the Camaro 3.4L fits in well and makes great power. I think the best swap would be a 2.0 LSJ from a solstice. That would take some deep pockets! I drove a 2.5 iron duke swap and it was horrible. Noisy and no more power than a stroked 1.6 with a good head, cam, carb and header

have been told the 2.8 chevy v6 bolts up to the original tranny and goes in with just motor mounts needed.

Yeah ......no.. the bell housing is different and the exhaust fabrication can be tricky. But so many guys are doing the 60 degree V6 that there is a ton of info on the swap
