Im in the process of building a new car since i wrecked another one last weekend..and I need a little help. Could someone draw out a wiring diagram for and post it up that has a toggle switch button and a light on the panel? I drew one out but i want to double check it to make sure all the wires from the coil, starter etc are right at the switches, before I waste a but of wire and connectors on something thats wrong. Thanks Anthony

Are you talking about a warning light on the oil pressure or water temp. or just a light showing your switch is on?
I thought i remember you asking this before.. here is my response to it in Oct 2007.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's been awhile since i wired a Chevette, but i'll give it a try.. anyone correct me if i'm wrong.
1. You got the + batt cable from the batt to the starter. Negative (-) of coarse from batt to the frame. 2. The small wire on the starter goes to the push button starter switch. 3. You need a hot wire (+) from your ignition "toggle" switch (when you kick it on) to the + side of the coil. 4. The Brown wire from the dist. goes to the + side of the coil, the black wire goes to the (-) side. 5. If you have a tach, one wire "should be green" hooks to the (-) side of the coil.
If all else fails bring it down to my shop and i'll wire it up for you.
Good luck, Stephen
