Will have to wait on Riverview's website to be updated to find out who won. Top 5 cars were declared illegal. Our thoughts and prayers to #3 Jeff York, who was extracted from his car and airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Last word i got was they didn't think he broke his neck, but possibly pinched a nerve that caused him to go numb. I was right there when they got him out of the car and he waved to his wife standing beside me. Guy's i CAN'T stress ENOUGH how important it is to check your safety equipment. I think it should be mandated that some form of neck support is used at all times in the Chevette division or ANY division for that matter. I got word that he didn't have his safety harness tight. Make sure your safety harness is mounted properly and can be properly tightend down against your body. Safety harnesses, helmets, suits, gloves, fire extinguishers, please check everything on a regular basis. I do not want to have to see another fellow Chevette driver being cut out of his car and airlifted to the nearest hospital. I see alot of drivers not wearing fire retardent gloves. Again PLEASE wear full protection. After seeing a guy get 3rd degree burns and his skin bubbling up and peeling off because he was racing in a t-shirt and blue jeans, i quickly learned how important safety gear is!

I called Vanderbilt Hospital yesterday around 1:00 or 2:00 and they told me they didn't have a patient by that name. I don't know if he went home or what?
