Does anyone have a diagram or is there anyone who can explain to me how to wire all this up? The car has all kinds of wires pieced together from when i bought it and its a huge mess. I cant get it figured out. Here is what i need, I have the positive battery cable going to the starter. I need to know where the other wire on the starter goes. also what do the two wires go to coming from the distributor I have an MSD coil and i just cant figure out how to hook the swith and the push botton in with the coil and the starter if this all makes sense. I didnt really know how to word it. Can anyone help me?

It's been awhile since i wired a Chevette, but i'll give it a try.. anyone correct me if i'm wrong. 1. You got the + batt cable from the batt to the starter. Negative (-) of coarse from batt to the frame. 2. The small wire on the starter goes to the push button starter switch. 3. You need a hot wire (+) from your ignition "toggle" switch (when you kick it on) to the + side of the coil. 4. The Brown wire from the dist. goes to the + side of the coil, the black wire goes to the (-) side. 5. If you have a tach, one wire "should be green" hooks to the (-) side of the coil. If all else fails bring it down to my shop and i'll wire it up for you. Good luck, Stephen

Well now i have another problem. I thought it worked fine but the kill switch wont work... You have to turn the switch on before the car will turn over but once its running the switch wont kill it...

you have it wired to just the start. you have to put the + from the coil on to the switch so it cut's power from the coil not the starter.

instead of just running a soild wire to the coil it has to go thought the switch. just cut the wire and out it on the same side as the starter is on.
