I'm looking for specs of the stock rotary parts of a chevette 1.6. Also, knowing piston pin height would be great.
Thanks in advance

The chiltons manual for a chevette tells you all the stock specs

I really need it to figure what con. rod, custom pistons I can use. I'm a machinist but I just don't have access to these specs.

lot of honda rods are being used with wiseco pistons with a stroked crank-high compression

Thanks rad15e,
The request remains 'cause I really need the specs.
I want a very long rod, unstroked, high pin piston setup to make it rev above 7000rpm safely.
To be brief, I only need the deck height. I found that I already have the con rod diam. specs. The rod length will follow the piston pin location minus deck clearance and half of the stroke spec. The big end will have to mach the crank journal and the small, the piston pin diam.
So deck clearance is actually what I'm looking for.

I found that it may be confusion between two terms. I'm talking about "deck height" which from some sources will refer to piston to deck clearance, while for others, it will identify the measurement between the crank axis and the deck surface.
What I'm looking for is the engine block deck height. (from crank axis to deck surface)
Thanks to read me

I have stock deck height somewhere in my massive Chevette filing system... Would have to find it, but don't have time right now.
If you're serious about doing a long rod conversion, i can give you all the options on compression heights and rod lengths. I can't do it for free, i've wasted too much time helping people that find out what they need to know and leave me in the dirt. Email me if you're serious, i can order everything and have you ready to assemble in 6 - 8 weeks (custom piston lead time).
Thanks, Stephen

I found the deck height. It's from a machinist's spec chart.
Chevette Deck Height is 7.795" or 198mm.
Fields was right to say it's hard to find something that will fit this block. He's definitively the guy to contact if you're serious about a strong setup.
By the way, I'm not guiving informations I had from fields. I found this spec by myself, and it's hard to find, believe me!
