Ill just post this in the proper topic. Ive had a 77 chevette for quite some time now. I bought it with 35,000. Its pretty spotless but not immaculate. I wanted to replace the auto with a manual. I was wondering if the linkage is all that much of a project. And i have no idea if its a 1.4 or 1.6. Sorry if this is posted in here. I looked a little bit.

there are no linkages to replace, the vette 4 or 5 speed are toploaders, your brake a gas ass.just unbolt from the car and the clutch ass.bolts back in,you will need a clutch cable, they make 2 different sizes clutch and pressure plates,we use the small one---the short shaft trans is lighter but it puts the shifter a little out of arms reach
