Will they allow you to run an electric fan Troy?

I dont know about electric, there has been 3 racers in the last few weeks with their fans getting broke. I am just looking to have a spare laying around incase this happens. Going to work on putting a shield underneath to block any big pieces of dirt from breaking any of the blades.

If it's legal, i would recommend going to an electric fan. You'll pick up a few horses by freeing up drag on the engine that the manual fan creates. Only draw back is you've got to make sure your battery is fully charged at all times.
A Derale 1675 CFM electric fan combined with an adjustable thermostat is a great setup. Both can be purchased from Summit Racing Equipment. I had one on the old 92 car (the one i had up at Brushcreek in 2004) and had it set at 190 - 200. It would kick on at 200 and shut off at 190. Wouldn't have to worry about turning it on or off.
Just a suggestion...
