hi i am wondering if the stroker crank makes the engine an interference engine? i had the timing belt break on me and its stock motor but just wondering b/c i might get a stroker crank.

if the timing belt/chain breaks and a valve is open the piston hits it and damage occurs in the engine

It depends on how much you stroke it, mill the head, and deck the block. I measured one several years ago with a stock stroke, zero deck block (pistons even with deck) a stock head, and a mild cam (.435" lift) It was around .340" clearance. You have quiet a bit of clearance to play with, but it is possible to make it interference.

i think my block is even with the pistons or is it very small distance you cant see unless you measure

You'll have to either buy a stock crank and send it off to have it stroked, or find a used one. Myself, i would rather have a new one, that way you know what you've got.
